Kinky Boots Audition Announcement

July 18th & July 19th

LCT will be holding auditions for KINKY BOOTS on July 18th and July 19th from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. KINKY BOOTS was rescheduled from the 2020 season, and therefore not all roles are available. Available roles are listed in the character breakdown. Auditions will be on a first come, first served basis. No appointments are required. Michael Calabrese will direct the show, with music direction by John Dressel. The show dates are October 16, 17, 22, 23, 24, 29, 30, 31 for a total of 8 performances. Rehearsals will begin on Sunday, July 25th and continue to be held three times a week. Rehearsal days are tentatively scheduled for Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings.

Auditioners must bring sheet music with them and be prepared to sing 32 bars (about a minute) of a fully memorized musical theater song showcasing the style and vocal range of the character for which they are auditioning. Songs from KINKY BOOTS are allowed. Additional vocalizing may also be a part of the audition to determine vocal range and harmonizing skills. An accompanist will be provided; no recorded accompaniment is permitted. Auditioners will be asked to read following their vocal audition. A dance audition will be held specifically for anyone auditioning to be an ‘Angel.’ Those auditioning for the roles of 'Angels' are highly encouraged to bring heels to dance in (if they have them) but this is not required. Other auditioners may also be expected to move. Please dress accordingly. Auditioners will be required to wear a mask or face covering until they are seen. Vocal warmups will not be allowed inside the building.
