COVID-19 Update

Landmark Community Theatre and the Thomaston Opera House remains closed during the COVID -19 Pandemic.   Kinky Boots scheduled to open on May 2, 2020, and running through May 17, 2020, has been postponed. Once we are able to resume our programming, we will be going forward with our 2020 season.  Kinky Boots will be the first production to reopen the Thomaston Opera House. However, the start date for that production and all other events are still undetermined.  It is our best guess that Kinky Boots may be able to open in mid-July or early August of this year.  This will depend on recommendations from federal, state, and local governments as well as CDC and other agencies.

If you have purchased tickets for “Kinky Boots” they will be honored during the corresponding rescheduled dates.  Exchanges, credits, refunds, or transfer to donations will be available once the box office reopens for regular operations.  Any immediate requests for box office services should be emailed to

Please know that we plan to continue and expand measures to create a safe environment for all involved with our organization including patrons, volunteers, staff, cast, and crew. Disinfecting practices in our theatre and public spaces via wiping down all surfaces (including spraying seat cushions, seat armrests, railings, door handles, sink faucets, etc.) will remain part of our regular routine moving forward. We will be following the guidelines from the CDC and the Connecticut Health Department as we plan for reopening This may include social distancing being applied to our seating arrangements,  volunteers wearing protective equipment, electronic playbills, self-contained concessions, screening attendees and additional personnel to open doors, run the elevator and disinfect during performances.  Time will tell what measures will be necessary to open our doors safely.  We encourage everyone to follow the guidelines from the CDC, which are available online via

Thank you for your continued support and understanding during this difficult time! If you have any further questions, please contact Executive Director, Jeffrey Dunn,
