Important Updates from Landmark Community Theatre

Phase 1 of Renovations have Begun

Dear Patrons,

We are excited to announce that the long-awaited renovations of our historic Thomaston Opera House have finally begun! Phase 1 of renovations will see the restoration of the Opera House’s artwork, including refurbishing the spectacular Romanesque ceiling, and the installation of a large stage-accessible elevator for mobility-challenged individuals. While the restoration and renovation will breathe new life into our theater, it has also resulted in the temporary closure of the Opera House. For this reason, we must move both our summer production, “The Wizard of Oz in Concert,” and our teen drama production, “Mean Girls” to Thomaston High School.

Please note that, because of the venue change, some of our summer production dates have changed. "The Wizard of Oz in Concert" will now take place from July 20-28th. The Friday and Saturday night performances will also begin at an earlier time of 7 p.m. You will be receiving your new tickets for this production in the mail within the next week. While we have made every effort to move patrons into corresponding dates and seats, we understand that these changes may not work for some patrons. Please call our Box Office at (860) 283-6250 if you wish to exchange your tickets for a different performance. If you have already purchased tickets for “Mean Girls,” your new tickets will also be arriving in the coming weeks.

Please keep an eye on our website,, and our social media pages for exciting updates on the renovation and the remainder of our 2024 Season! As always, please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns. We look forward to seeing you soon!
