Landmark Community Theatre opens its 2019 theatrical season with THE GREAT AMERICAN TRAILER PARK, playing February 2nd to 17th at the historic Thomaston Opera House!
The Great American Trailer Park Musical is a country-rock and blues musical about agoraphobia, adultery, '80s nostalgia, spray cheese, road kill, hysterical pregnancy, a broken electric chair, kleptomania, strippers, flan, and disco. Set in South Florida trailer park Armadillo Acres , the show centers around regular guy Norbert, a toll-booth collector, and his agoraphobic wife, Jeannie, whose marriage is threatened by Armadillo Acres' newcomer, the hot young stripper Pippi. But when Pippi’s magic marker sniffing ex-boyfriend, Duke, arrives, chaos ensues, and Jeannie’s fears of the outside world come to fruition. The trailer park also plays home to a Greek-chorus-like trio of women Linoleum, Betty and Pickles, – each more dysfunctional than the other, this raucous musical filled with unsubtle stereotypes is the perfect event to bring anyone out of their winter rut. *Contains strong language – not suitable for young children
